Learning Hub is an interactive learning management system demo tailored specifically for hospitality point-of-sale (POS) software training. Designed to streamline staff onboarding and continuous education, this prototype application features step-by-step tutorial walkthroughs across various operational roles - from Front of House and Kitchen Ops to Management and System Admin. By simulating the POS environment with guided visual cues, it empowers restaurant teams to master complex daily workflows efficiently and at their own pace.
Situation
High turnover rates and fast-paced hospitality environments mean that training new staff on complex point-of-sale systems is often rushed. This leads to operational bottlenecks, incorrect orders, mismanaged inventory, and costly billing errors on the floor.
Action
Built an intuitive web-based learning prototype featuring role-based tracks and categorised modules. The app utilises a custom tutorial engine that simulates the POS interface, guiding users through critical actions using targeted visual highlight pulses, progress tracking and step-by-step instructional cards.
Result
Delivered a highly focused, risk-free training environment that accelerates the onboarding process. By allowing staff to interactively practice exact operational flows before hitting the floor, the platform builds user confidence, standardises training quality and minimises real-world POS errors.
